Computer Aided Engineering

CeBeNetworks Business Unit “Computer Aided Engineering” is sub-divided into the areas of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Modelling (FEM), Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) and Computer Aided Design (CAD). All these are of primary importance during the early development stages of a new product. With their aid, detailed insights into the physical phenomena of complex and large systems are possible, even if experimental testing is difficult, impossible or just too expensive. This improves the understanding of the processes and facilitates directed optimizations of the product. In conjunction with viable testing, numerical methods and tools may reduce the total duration of development with the corresponding commercial benefits.

CeBeNetwork has acquired many years of experience in the area of computer aided simulation for industrial applications, in particular in the development processes for passenger aircraft. Based on the CAD geometries of parts or assemblies we generate the meshes for the numerical analyses, derive suitable simulation models, carry out the simulation runs with the appropriate tools, and finally present the results with descriptive tables and graphics. With our know-how we also support our customers in the interpretation of the results and with the derivation of new solutions. The close interconnection of the various methods for design and the computer aided development of products in CeBeNetwork’s Business Unit CAE guarantees solid support and competent consultancy for our customers.
