Simulation of phenomena in scientific and technical fields is established in product development. It is seldom that a simulation is undertaken by itself; much more frequent is that different programs from various areas of application overlap each other. An example of this is the interaction of current simulation with structure simulation.

Substantial advancement in the improvement of hardware, software and model descriptions has resulted in the ability to carry out almost automatically what is by itself a complicated and painstaking optimisation process with according integration systems.
